Before reporting an issue

  • Make sure you are signed in to facebook.com in the same Chrome profile.
  • Refresh the Facebook Ad Library tab after installing or updating the extension.
  • Confirm that AdSpector is enabled at chrome://extensions.
  • Try clearing the extension cache from the popup if search results look stale.

What to include

  • Your Chrome version and operating system.
  • A short description of what you expected and what happened.
  • The Facebook Ad Library URL or ad ID, if relevant.
  • Screenshots only if they do not contain sensitive account data.

Response

Support requests are reviewed as soon as possible. Critical install or login issues should include "Install issue" in the email subject so they can be triaged quickly.

Why do I need to be logged in to Facebook?

AdSpector uses Facebook Ad Library data requested by the user. Some searches and ad details require a valid Facebook session in the current Chrome profile.

Where are saved ads stored?

Saved ad records are stored in Chrome local extension storage for the current browser profile.

How do I remove extension data?

Remove saved ads from the extension where controls are available, clear extension storage in Chrome settings, or uninstall the extension.

Where is the privacy policy?

The privacy policy is available at policy.html.
